FAQ
What is your shipping policy?
Processing Time: I aim to get your orders shipped as soon as possible. As each piece is individually handmade, I do ask that you allow 1-5 business days for your order to be processed. If you need something in a hurry email me at hello@mollycoombsmarr.com before purchasing and I will do everything I can to speed up the process.
Domestic Shipping: Local delivery by Australia Post will take approximately 3–14 business days for standard shipping and 1–3 business days for express shipping. Tracking is included on all Australian deliveries. Qualify for free domestic shipping when you spend $150 (AUD) or more - discount automatically applied at checkout.
International Shipping: International delivery rates and times vary and do not automatically include tracking - upgrade from Economy to Standard Tracked shipping for delivery updates. Please contact me prior to purchase if you would like insured delivery.
What is your return/refund policy?
Everything from this shop is handmade individually in Sydney, Australia. The pieces will often have small hand-forming marks, making each piece unique. Size, colour and shape may vary slightly. These are not flaws.
Jewellery: Due to the fragility of the handmade pieces from this shop and for hygiene purposes, we do not accept returns on jewellery unless exhibiting a genuine manufacturing fault. Please send us an email and photo of the flawed item to returns@mollycoombsmarr.com and I will advise a return address. Often I can also offer to repair the item if this is your preference.
Please be 100% certain before purchasing and do not hesitate to ask any questions about an item before doing so.
Clothing and Homewares: I hope you love everything that you order from us, but if something isn’t quite right you have 14 days from the day you receive your parcel to return the item to us. Full-priced items can be returned for an exchange where product is available or a full refund of the item(s) excluding shipping costs.
Returned item(s) must be unworn, unwashed, unused, in original condition with all labels/tags attached and returned within 14 days of receiving your product.
Seconds, Samples & Discontinued Design Sales:
All sales of seconds, samples or discontinued pieces are final. No refunds or exchanges can be made.
What materials do you use for your jewellery?
Polymer clay is a type of modelling clay based on the polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The clay is formed by hand and placed in an oven to harden. Material sourced in Australia and hand-formed by me.
Laser-Cut Acrylic a lightweight plastic that has been laser-cut in Sydney, Australia using 100% green power. I make the most of each sheet of acrylic to ensure minimal waste.
14k gold-filled hoops: This is when a thick layer of real gold has been mechanically bonded over brass. This is a much thicker, more hard wearing layer than gold-plating and can last over a decade with daily wear. Suitable for most ears.
Sterling Silver Hoops: This is when a thick layer of real gold has been mechanically bonded over brass. This is a much thicker, more hard wearing layer than gold-plating and can last over a decade with daily wear. Suitable for most ears.
Sterling silver earring hooks: Designed by me. Sourced and hand-formed by an Australian silversmith. Suitable for most ears.
Surgical steel studs: Sourced from a local Australian supplier. Surgical steel is suitable for most sensitive ears.
Can you make clip-on earrings?
Yes! Most of my earrings can be converted to clip-ons. Just send me a message before ordering and we can chat about options and how to proceed.
How should I care for my jewellery?
To ensure a long life, store your piece in a dry, safe place where it won't be crushed, dropped or snagged. Always remove when showering, applying perfumes, sprays or makeup as these could degrade the jewellery surface.
Clean all non-metal surfaces with a clean dry or damp microfibre cloth. See below for metal care and cleaning.
14k Gold-Filled hoops can be cleaned with a dry or damp microfibre cloth with some warm water & mild soap.
Sterling Silver hoops and hooks will tarnish over time. However, they can be easily buffed back to a shine with a silver polishing cloth. For heavier tarnishing or if you don't have a polishing cloth, you can easily make your own metal polish by mixing lemon juice and baking soda into a paste. Make sure to avoid applying any polish to non-metal surfaces.
Do you offer eco-friendly packaging?
Yes! Minimising waste is a huge part of my business ethos which is why all of my packaging is Australian made and plastic-free. I've also worked hard to source recycled cardboard for all earring cards that have been printed with eco-friendly inks, blank cardboard shipping boxes that are simple to reuse or recycle and compostable shipping mailers made by Australian business Hero Packaging.

Do you wholesale?
Not at the moment. But never say never! Send me an email and I'll keep you in mind if I do decide to dip my toe into the wholesale world.
